DRIVIN’ DIRECTIONS      http://www.mansonvalley.com/directions.htm

Quail Haven is located in Manson – just 7 miles down the North shore of Lake Chelan. If you’re not familiar with how to get to Lake Chelan, please contact our Chamber of Commerce at www.lakechelan.com or call them at 1.800.4.CHELAN. As most people are already familiar with how to Chelan, I will start the directions from Chelan…

Arrive Chelan over the “old” bridge (the first one you come to) and make a Left at Campbell’s Resort. Go one block and you will be at the Safeway intersection (with Safeway in front of you.) Make a LEFT. This road will be called several different things over the next 7+ miles: S.R. 150, The Chelan-Manson Highway & Manson Blvd. Don’t let it confuse you. Just stay on that road for 7 miles. It curves you around the lake and takes you to the beautiful village of Manson.

Just before you get to the town of Manson, you will see a Red Apple Market/Union 76 on the Left side of the Highway. At that intersection make a RIGHT on QUETILQUASOON. Continue about 3 blocks to the stop sign. You’re now at the corner of Quetilquasoon & Green Avenue. Make a RIGHT on GREEN AVENUE and go up the hill. About 30 seconds later you will come to a “Y” in the road. This is the intersection of GREEN AVENUE and WELLS AVENUE. You will want to go STRAIGHT on WELLS AVENUE. (This is actually a sort of “Y” intersection, but go straight onto Wells.) Go down Wells Avenue about half way, (about 200 yards) & you’ll see the Quail Haven sign on the left side of the road.

At this sign, make a quick RIGHT down the paved driveway – in the direction the sign in pointing. (This will help too…the driveway is just past the mobile home with the fence around it on the Right side of the road. Just as you pass the trailer – turn Right down the paved driveway.)

As you go down the driveway, the first thing you pass is a large shed with a green roof on your left. Just below that, you’ll see the “fork” in the paved driveway go toward the left. Take that left.  You’ll see Quail Haven directly in front of you. You’ll see the double garage doors facing you, as well as the basketball hoop.

GENERAL INFO

 CHECK IN

The home will be ready for CHECK IN at 4:00 pm. If you’ll be much later than this, just give me a quick call & let me know. Call me when you get close to the house. Either I’ll be there or will arrange to have someone else there to get you situated. There are a few things we want to walk you though before I you get settled into the house. The house actually belongs to my cousin, Roger & his wife Linda. I'm managing it for this this year.

THE POOL

When not using the pool, please make sure there are no “floatie” things left in the water. They end up in the skimmer basket and plug it up. It keeps water from getting into the pump—and it could burn up the pump.
Any floatie toys at the pool have been left by previous guests. Enjoy them! If you find any in poor condition, please feel free to toss ‘em in the dumpster.
If it’s cool out, please
keep the pool cover on as much as possible. This keeps heat in the water. Before you check out, please put the pool cover back on for us.
Please put all pool furniture back inside the fenced pool area before you check out.

 DAMAGE

On the off chance that something actually was damaged during your stay (this doesn’t happen very often but accidents do happen), we would really appreciate it if you could let us know when it happens. It could be something simple that we can take care of during your stay, or it may be something we need to pick up in Wenatchee during the week.

If you find that something was damaged or missing upon your arrival, please let us know right away. Give me a call and I’ll see that it gets taken care of for you.

Deposit refund will be mailed to you, via our check,
within 10 days of your stay
, after we have cleaned and inventoried the home.
If you have questions about the deposit please call

Linda Sorensen (Homeowner) @ 509.687.3732
.

There is a free roaming “Polaris” cleaning robot in the pool. That's just "Howard". If you’re uncomfortable hangin’ out with Howard, please call one of the following numbers and we’ll get him taken out of the pool:

Guillermo 509.670.9732
or
Roger (Homeowner) 509.470.2202

Please remember that “Howard” is a very expensive little guy and, like most men, a bit temperamental if not handled correctly. You will be charged for any damage to him that happens during your stay.  Please be kind to him!

WASHER/DRYER

Washer & dryer are downstairs. Please remember to empty the lint trap on the dryer if you use it.

AIR CONDITIONIN’

We’ve got a fantastic HVAC System to keep you really comfortable in summer and winter alike. Just remember that the more the doors and windows are open…it’s tougher for the system to keep up with the demand. If they’re left open, the home will not cool as well. Remind kids to close the doors.

PESTS

ANTS will be attracted if the counters aren’t wiped down and there are bits of food left. The entire valley has had trouble with them over the past few years but find that this simple task can pretty much alleviate the problem. Also note this problem is NOT exclusive to the kitchen. It happens if food, wine, beer, crumbs, etc. get spilled or left outside at the pool, bedrooms, or wherever.  Please don’t feed the ants. ;)

FRUIT FLIES will be attracted to the house if you have fruit or wine out on the counter instead of the refrigerator. Also – if the doors are left open (especially in the evening) thousands can fill the house pretty quickly. They’re initially attracted to the lights. The only solution to getting rid of fruit flies is to not get ‘em in the first place. They’re enough to make ya’ crazy! At times they come in HUGE swarms, so please keep the house doors closed and your fruits & fruity beverages in the fridge instead of on the counter.

GARBAGE

The garbage truck comes on MONDAY MORNINGS. Pleeeze, don’t block the dumpster in. If they can’t get the dumpster to the truck–they won’t take it. Believe me – 2 week old, sweaty garbage will NOT enhance your vacation experience. Thank you in advance for your attention to this!

CHECK OUT?  TIDY UP A JUST A BIT  :)

Most important for us is the kitchen. Please make sure the dishes are washed. The last load can be left running in the dishwasher.

If there are “Cheerios” or something all over the house – maybe run the vacuum a bit. We’d appreciate it.
Don’t strip the beds. It’s easier for us to keep sets together if we do this for you.
Toss all dirty towels downstairs by the washing machine. We’ll wash them.
Empty the refrigerator. If there’s something unopened that you want to leave for the next guests–that’s great! But if it’s opened, please toss it.
If you’ve moved furniture around, please put it back in its original place. Outdoor & pool furniture as well.
Please take all garbage out to the dumpster. Make sure it all goes into the dumpster & not left beside it or in the garage. If you put cardboard boxes in the dumpster – please break them down.

RECYCYLING?! Please help us preserve the beauty of our little Norman Rockwell-esque valley! We now
have a recycling program downtown Manson!
(Yay!) If you wish to participate, please take recycle materials downtown Manson and put them in the appropriate bins. Please don’t leave recycling in the garage or beside the dumpster. On a busy Saturday, we won’t have enough time to process it and—sadly—it’ll only end up in a landfill. Thank you!
